Grand Opening Celebration

Wincore® celebrated its official grand opening with customers, employees, news media and several West Virginia dignitaries including Governor Joe Manchin on July 17, 2007. Held at the Wincore plant facility, the grand opening celebration drew almost 1,000 people throughout the day, and was honored by a live televised remote broadcast by a NBC network affiliate. Guests enjoyed a full day of personal, one-on-one interaction with Wincore's leadership team and were able to take guided tours of the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Highlighting the day's events were a keynote reception speech by Gov. Joe Manchin as well as other noted West Virginia delegates.

Keith Burdette, president of the Parkersburg Area Roundtable, praised Wincore officials for their foresight and planning capabilities. "We have here a group of 12 investors with over 200 years of experience in the business," he said. "They've assembled one of the most complete and thorough start-up companies this area has seen for a long time." Rick Barton, president of Wincore® , also spoke at the event, praising the commitment that Wincore customers and vendor partners have shown for the group.
